It is everybody's dream to travel the world and experience everything it has to offer. You can experience a world of culture, food, fashion, beliefs and far more than I can begin to list. But when traveling is part of your job then you really do have the best of both worlds. Kamen Kamenov is a fashion blogger who travels the globe, creating content for his blog TheConjuringCat, we caught up with him and asked the questions everybody wants to know.

Tell us a bit about you and your background.

Let me start by introducing myself. My name is Kamen Kamenov, I am a fashion blogger and my blog is called www.theconjuringcat.com. I originate from Bulgaria, a small country on the Balkans, but now I live, study and work in Germany. I come from a place where fashion is not really considered an expression of one’s personality. It basically is something that simply exists, just a necessity if you will. I have never been a fan of that kind of thinking. That is why I decided to start my blog, to show that fashion is a world full of possibilities. The creativity and inspiration, which always comes hand in hand with fashion, has always brought me joy. When I was a child I looked at glossy magazine covers with wide opened eyes, trying to wrap my mind around that world and dreamed to be a part of it someday. I can’t say that I am there yet, but at least I am trying to leave my footprint on fashion.

 

What got you into fashion?

Fashion has always been something I was interested in. It started with looking through fashion magazines, which presented impeccable accessories, coats, suits, leather shoes and the most exquisite Italian eyewear. But back then it was more than uncommon for a guy to be interested in fashion, at least in Bulgaria. That’s why it was just a dream at first. The thing that made me take that step with my blog was actually my need to do something I love. I am a very artistic person, so ways of expressing myself are really important to me and blogging is one of them.
